A 20-year-old Fredericton man is in custody after another man was assaulted with a weapon and left injured on Sunday morning.
The man in custody is facing aggravated assault and drug charges, after the Fredericton Police Force responded to a 911 call reporting a disturbance between two groups of people at 1:44 a.m.

The injured man is still being treated at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital but there is no word on his current status.
The man is set to appear in provincial court this morning.
