An Australian man’s joke of checking in a single can of beer as luggage for a flight from Melbourne to Perth has gone viral.
Dean Stinson documented the stunt on Saturday after his Qantas flight landed in Western Australia.

Stinson’s lone unopened can of Emu Export (a popular local brew) was the first item to emerge on the airport luggage conveyor belt, complete with the checked luggage sticker still attached.
“For those following at home: It made it,” Stinson posted to Facebook along with a video of the feat.
A photo Stinson shared proudly proclaimed that “not all emus are flightless.”

Reports explained that Stinson and a friend simply wanted to see if a can of beer could survive the four-hour flight.
“It was in perfect condition,” Stinson told AFP.
Qantas doesn’t recommend customers check in cans of beer and is urging travellers to refrain from attempting similar stunts.
“This guy’s done it and he’s won the internet for the day, so we’re happy to move on,” a Qantas spokesman told the BBC.
