“Clueless” star Brittany Murphy dead in L.A.

U.S. actress Brittany Murphy, who starred in such films as "Clueless" and "Girl, Interrupted" but had suffered waning fortunes in recent years, died in a Los Angeles hospital on Sunday, officials said. She was 32.
