Winnipeg’s most popular intersection is now officially draped in red and white to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.

A maple leaf with a Canada 150 logo beneath spans 14 storeys on the office tower at 201 Portage Avenue.

The project was a hard secret to keep, as workers could be seen hanging from the 32 storey building, installing the 5,000 square foot mural over the past week.

The vinyl print is part of Winnipeg’s city-wide celebration to mark Canada 150.
