Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the city of Edmonton late Monday night. It was dropped early Tuesday morning.

The warning came after the city had already been under a severe thunderstorm watch for most of the day and as other warnings and watches had been issued in parts of central and northern Alberta.

Shortly after 11 p.m., EPCOR reported several power outages in the city. For a complete list of power outages in Edmonton, click here.

Environment Canada said its meteorologists were tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, toonie-sized hail and heavy rain.
