The owner of an auto shop in north Hamilton is facing fraud charges.
Detectives have arrested a man in connection with the issuance of false insurance documents and vehicle safety certificates. Police say they investigated incidents at T&R Auto Service on Barton Street East, near Wellington Street.

Officers raided T&R Auto on June 8 and arrested the owner, who was later released with conditions and will appear in court at a later date.

Naseem Jamil, 55, is charged with three counts of fraud, as well as selling forged documents, proceeds of crime and driving while disqualified.
The investigation included detectives from the Hamilton police BEAR Unit and Vice and Drugs Unit as well as the Insurance Bureau of Canada and the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council.
