An 11-year-old girl has been rushed to hospital after falling from the fifth floor balcony of an apartment building in Toronto’s north end Tuesday evening.
Toronto police said crews were called to a Grandravine Drive apartment, near Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue West, at 6:40 p.m.
Const. Allyson Douglas-Cook told AM640 the mother was not aware at the time that her daughter fell.
“The reports from staff at a residential building … calling in to report an 11-year-old girl had fallen five storeys onto the ground and the child was injured,” she said.
