State of emergency flooding caused the closure of several schools around the Greater Montreal area for the day.

The Canadian Forces deployed 400 soldiers as high water threatened the hundreds of residences due to heavy rainfall over the past week.
Over 1,900 homes were flooded across 126 municipalities.

Lester B. Pearson School Board announced that all schools, centres and daycares will be closed.
Sir Wilfred Laurier School Board announced that St-Jude Elementary, Mountainview Elementary, Lake of Two Mountains High will be closed (via Facebook).
Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys has shared a list of closures on its website.
The list includes:
Elementary schools – Joseph-Henrico, Beaconsfield, Saint-Rémi, Dollard-Des Ormeaux, du Bois-de-Liesse, Saint-Luc, Gentilly, Émile-Nelligan, Jacques-Bizard, Jonathan-Wilson, Sainte-Geneviève, du Grand-Chêne, Harfang-des-Neiges, Lalande, Murielle-Dumont, Perce-Neige, Saint-Gérard, Marguerite-Bourgeoys, Pointe-Claire, Saint-Louis, du Bout-de-l’Isle
High schools – des Sources, Dorval-Jean-XXIII, Félix-Leclerc, Saint-Georges
Specialized education centre: John-F.-Kennedy (Beaconsfield et LaSalle)
Adult education centre – Centre d’éducation des adultes Jeanne-Sauvé
Continuing education centre – Centre de formation professionnelle des métiers de la santé

The list includes:
Elementary schools – Brind’Amour, Saint-Michel, Sainte-Madeleine, du Papillon-Bleu (pavillons Saint-Jean-Baptiste et Sainte-Trinité)
High schools – de la Cité-des-Jeunes
Adult education centre – le centre des Belles-Rives
Continuing education centre – Paul-Gérin-Lajoie
All daycare services along with the cultural and administration centre is closed.
McGill University announced that all classes at both campuses are cancelled for the day (via Twitter).
Commission scolaire de la Rivière-du-Nord announced that St-André school and its daycare service will be closed on its website. The Ste-Hermas school daycare service will welcome parents and students from the St-André school that need daycare service.
