When Vincent Belcourt said goodbye to his wife one morning, he didn’t expect a knock on the door from police that would change his life forever.

Just before sunrise on March 14 – 2016, Josie who was on her way to work was crossing the street in the 8300 block of King George Boulevard when she was struck. The driver took off.
The suspect vehicle captured on a traffic camera was heading south on King George Boulevard — moments before the deadly crash.
Investigators say the vehicle believed to be a 2010 or 2011 Honda CRV has notable front end damage. It’s not clear how fast the driver was going. And police don’t have a license plate number.
As she lay on the street, another vehicle hit her. That person remained on the scene. Josie was rushed to hospital where she later died.
The timing was especially tragic. That morning the Belcourts had all their bags packed. They were ready to move out of their Surrey home and begin a new life in Vancouver where she worked at Lookout Emergency Aid Society. A facility where Josie dedicated herself to helping the homeless and people with mental disabilities.
Her devastated husband just wants the driver to come forward.
