At the bus terminal in Dorval, there are warning signs plastered on nearly every lamp post to advise users to expect service disruptions heading downtown.
Buses like the 211, taking public transit users from the West Island to the Lionel Groulx Metro station, have experienced major delays because of construction work.

Transit users say it has forced them to adjust their schedules.
“Often, it’s late and it can be frustrating sometimes,” said Montreal resident Madeleine Soubry.
“I think a lot of people are used to just taking the bus way earlier to make sure they’re not late to school, work or many other things in the morning.”
The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) explained it is constantly working on adapting bus routes to avoid construction.

Papp said the delays aren’t that bad and it’s all part of living in Montreal.
“It’s Montreal,” she told Global News.
“There are delays, traffic and construction everywhere.”
On Tuesday morning, the 211 bus from Dorval to Lionel Groulx Metro, took a reserved bus lane for most of the ride, arriving downtown in about 30 minutes.
