The rural municipality (RM) of Torch River closed the White Fox Bridge Tuesday morning due to extreme ice build-up.

No traffic is being allowed on the bridge north of the village of White Fox, Sask., and detours on Range Road 2150 have been established.

RM officials are advising motorists to use alternative routes and to be cautious of unstable road conditions.

White Fox is approximately 230 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon.
