Byron Louis has been re-elected as the head of the Okanagan Indian Band. This will be Louis’ fourth two-year term in the role.

Louis beat out two challengers for the position in Wednesday’s election.

The band says more than 575 votes were cast.

The newly elected band council is a mix of old and new faces. Four councillors from the previous council were re-elected.

The new council takes over on April 3.
