St. Thomas police have laid child pornography charges against a 60-year-old man following an investigation that dates back to December of last year.
According to investigators, three images that would be considered child pornography were uploaded to the internet from an address in St. Thomas through various chat rooms.
Officers conducted a search warrant at a residence where a laptop computer was seized. Police say the computer contained the three images, as well as similar images.
As a result, a 60-year-old St. Thomas man was arrested on March 27, and charged with three counts of distributing child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
