WATCH: Even with only one letter missing, this 'Wheel of Fortune' contestant couldn't solve the puzzle – Mar 22, 2017

Fans of theatre, avert your eyes.

On Tuesday night’s episode of Wheel of Fortune, contestant Kevin seemed to have an easy solve in the bag, but instead he made a groan-worthy mistake — and outed himself as something of a philistine. (Even The Simpsons has done its own version of the famous play.)

The board read “A STREETCAR NA_ED DESIRE” and Kevin asked for a “K,” assuming the word was “naked.” Of course, his guess was incorrect, and fellow contestant Lisa swooped in for the steal, easily solving the puzzle.

To add insult to injury, this week’s Wheel theme is “Southern Charm,” so there was another clue to the puzzle that should have tipped Kevin off, since playwright Tennessee Williams was born in Mississippi.

Host Pat Sajak didn’t pass up an opportunity to use it as fodder for his signature comedy, either.

“Although you got the right answer, I’d rather see Kevin’s play,” he joked.

Twitter (predictably) reacted to the fail, roasting poor Kevin for his miss.

Lisa won last night’s match, taking home $41,230 USD.
