Elgin County OPP have brought in their underwater search team after a vehicle was spotted in Port Stanley’s harbour Tuesday night.
Police responded to Jamieson Street and Main Street at around 7:10 p.m. after reports a vehicle had left the roadway and entered the water at a boat launch. Reports said the vehicle had its lights on.

Officers say it wasn’t clear if anyone was still inside the vehicle, but the OPP’s Underwater Search and Recovery Team would be attending the scene to investigate.

Area residents should expect to see an increased police presence in the area where the vehicle entered the water.
