Sports fans dismayed by lengthy NHL negotiations

Many Regina sports fans say they won’t be watching hockey
this season, even though the game might be taking to the ice soon.

“I’m done, I’ve had it. I couldn’t care less,” said James
Giesinger, who was watching football at the Press Box Sports Bar on Sunday with
his friend Jodi Bogdon.

Both Bogdon and Giesinger say they’re dismayed at the way the
negotiations have taken place.

“At the end of the day, that’s a lot of money to play hockey, and
a lot of money for a game that people play for love. That’s just a bunch of
crap, it’s all about money,” Giesinger said. “Hockey can have itself… I’ve had
it.”

“I don’t how people could make millions of dollars and still
complain that they’re not making enough when we’re sitting here, not making
that kind of money doing jobs that are more important,” Bogdon said.
