The single vehicle rollover claimed the life of a 71-year-old Saskatoon man who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mounties say icy highway conditions were the main contributing factor to the rollover.
A 69-year-old female passenger was transported to Battleford’s Union Hospital in stable condition.
Lanes were restricted for several hours while an RCMP collision analyst investigated.
Maymont is approximately 80 km northwest of Saskatoon.
