Saskatoon police execute high-risk search warrant

A man is facing charges after a high-risk search warrant was executed by Saskatoon police.

The 29-year-old man is facing charges of possession of stolen property, breach of recognizance and breach of probation following his arrest on Tuesday at a home in the 1400-block of 33rd Street West.

Police officials said the warrant was executed as part of a firearms investigation and a second man was taken into custody.

Crisis negotiators and members of the tactical support unit were also involved.

Investigators did not locate any firearms while searching the home said they did find stolen property.

No injuries were reported.

Police continue to investigate.
