A home on Mt. Bullman Drive in Vernon sustained heavy damage following a fire Monday afternoon.
Neighbours reported hearing popping and explosions before seeing heavy smoke and flame from the home.

The fire is believed to have started in the garage of the home on Middleton Mountain.
A Prius was torched along with the contents of the garage, while the rest of the structure had smoke, heat and fire damage.
No one was injured and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
