Saskatoon police said they were forced to Taser a man after he refused to leave a home following a domestic dispute..
Police said they were originally called to the 3200-block of Maxwell Street on Sunday morning for a domestic dispute.

As they were wrapping up their investigation, officers were asked to remove from the home’s basement a man who was no longer welcome.
Police said the man refused to leave and started to assault an officer.
The officer then fired his Taser and the man was taken into custody.
He was checked by paramedics who determined he didn’t needed further medical assistance.

The officer received minor injuries in the assault.
A 26-year-old man is facing charges of assaulting a police officer. He is scheduled to appear before a justice of the peace on Sunday evening.
