The Sun Youth food basket drive for the holiday season kicked off on Saturday and will last until next week.
Spokesperson for Sun Youth Eric Kingsley, said there is an increase in demand this year.

The organization said it expects to help feed 5000 families this year and they’ll be giving away 4,000 gifts for kids.
“I think we’re seeing a lot of atypical work, there’s people getting contractual work, they’re not getting 35 hours per week,” Kingsley said. “People are going through their savings, it’s very difficult.”
If anyone has a need for a food basket, Sun Youth is still registering. All that is needed is piece of identification, proof of income, and an address.
