A misspelled word from President-elect Donald Trump can make for an unintentional pun, as Trump found out Saturday morning.
Apparently misspelling “unprecedented,” Trump tweeted Saturday: “China steals United States Navy research drone in international waters – rips it out of water and takes it to China in unpresidented act.”
China has since promised to return the Navy glider to the U.S.

Trump later deleted the Tweet, but not before it was widely seen and went viral. Many who were quick on the draw saved a screenshot of the error.
The hashtag #unpresidented started trending on Twitter later, as pranksters had fun with the gaffe.
Even Merriam-Webster, the dictionary people got in on the fun, making sure to clarify that “unpresidented” is not a word.
It’s not the first time the president-Elect has had trouble with his words. Last weekend, Trump was criticized on social media for poor spelling in a tweet in which he accused CNN of reporting “rediculous” fake news. Hours later, he put out a fresh tweet correcting the spelling to “ridiculous.”
