The best last-minute holiday gifts for her

The countdown to Christmas is on and, like many people, you may start to feel the pressure to get shopping.

According to the National Retail Federation, up to 40 per cent of holiday sales happen the week before Dec. 25. What’s more, 90 per cent of shoppers told the organization they hadn’t finished their holiday buying as of Dec. 15.

So if you’ve procrastinated (again), you’re not alone – and there’s no need to panic.

There are three things to keep in mind:

Tip #1: the perfect present doesn’t have to be expensive or store-bought. It can come from the heart.

Tip #2: Experiences may make more memorable gifts than things, science suggests.

So rather than spend money on something you’re not sure your partner will love, consider signing the two of you up for an activity – like a marathon (or half) that you can train together for in 2017.

Tip #3: If you’re still hoping to buy something that will leave an impact under the tree, there are several retailers who are still able to get you gifts by Christmas Day. To guide you in your shopping excursions, we’ve come up with some great gift ideas for the lady in your life — whether she’s your mother, aunt, wife, partner or best friend.
