Winnipeg’s residential parking ban officially kicks in

Residential parking ban in Winnipeg begins Friday – Dec 8, 2016

WINNIPEG — Some relief is on the way for drivers hoping to navigate the city’s residential streets after the fresh snowfall.

City crews started plowing residential streets Friday morning.

Residents are urged to check their snow zone letter in order to determine when their residential street is scheduled for clearing. You can find your snow zone with the address lookup tool, by contacting 311 or by using the Know Your Zone app.

Vehicles left on the snow route could be hit with a $150 ticket and may be towed to a nearby street that is not scheduled to be plowed or already has been cleared.

Friday, Dec. 9 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Dec. 10: B, G, J, L, N, R, V

Saturday, Dec. 10 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m: E, H, K, O, S

Saturday, Dec. 10 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Dec. 11: D

Sunday Dec. 11 from 7  a.m. to 7 p.m: C

The last time the residential parking ban happened was in February when over 1,100 tickets were handed out.
