Police recover peeping drone, taunt suspect on Facebook

SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah police department is warning people to keep an eye out for unmanned drones flying outside their bathroom windows.

Orem Police Lt. Craig Martinez said Monday that they believe somebody was flying a quadcopter near a person’s bathroom Saturday morning. The alert resident noticed it and followed it until it landed, turning it over to police.

Martinez says they found a memory card in the drone that has a picture of the man and pictures and video of people in their bathrooms. He says they know who the suspect is and expect to cite and release him in the coming days.

Orem Police wrote about the incident in a Facebook post to bring the bizarre practice to people’s attention.
