Winnipeg Jets prospects Jack Roslovic and Erik Foley will be among the 27 players auditioning for a spot on USA’s roster for the 2017 World Junior Hockey Championship.
The pair will attend training camp in Buffalo, N.Y. next week followed by an additional camp in Oshawa, Ont. later this month. If named to the team, Roslovic and Foley will make their World Juniors debut.

Roslovic leads the AHL’s Manitoba Moose with 17 points in 21 games in his rookie season. The 19-year-old is also in a three-way tie for first place on the team in goals scored. Roslovic helped the USA win a gold medal at both the 2014 World U17 Hockey Challenge and the 2015 IIHF World U18 Championship. He was chosen 25th overall by the Jets in the 2015 NHL Draft.

Foley has six goals and eight assists in 14 games in his sophomore season with the NCAA Division I Providence College Friars. The 19-year-old was Winnipeg’s third round pick in the 2015 NHL Draft.
Team USA must trim its roster by four players ahead of the 2017 World Juniors. The country opens the tournament on Dec. 26 against Latvia. The Americans face host Canada on New Year’s Eve.
