PENTICTON – A section of a Penticton mobile home park was put on police lock down after a parcel bomb explosion Wednesday morning.
Dorothy Czerniak tells Global Okanagan News a small package in Christmas wrapping was found at the foot of her driveway at about 10 a.m.
Czerniak says she was attempting to open it with a knife when it exploded in her cutlery drawer, slightly singeing her face and causing a small fire.
Her son called 9-1-1 and Czerniak was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics.
