The RCMP underwater recovery team is searching for a vehicle that may have gone into a northern Saskatchewan river.

Île à la Crosse RCMP said they received a report late Tuesday morning that a vehicle may have gone into the Canoe River near kilometre 130 on Highway 155.

Officers arrived to find a large hole in the ice.

No vehicle has been located.

Police said Highway 155 is not blocked but drivers may experience delays later in the day.
