A boil water advisory was issued Sunday, for the municipalities of Sainte-Julie, Varennes and Saint-Amable.

The advisory was put in place after test results showed the presence of E.Coli bacteria.

The measure is precautionary as officials do not believe the water supply is tainted. Instead, they think the contamination stems from “the human manipulation of a sample.”
