Police chased the 20-year-old suspect on foot and arrested him. The man was known to police.
Meanwhile, the 19-year-old drove into the parking lot of a mall at the corner of Henri-Bourrassa and Lacordaire.
As he was trying to make his way out of the lot, he crashed into a cement pole which propelled the car up in the air.
The car flipped over once, hit two cars and crashed into a third car at the corner of Charles-Roy and Gervais.
Police arrested the teen while he was trying to flee the scene.
He was then transported to hospital for evaluation.
The 19-year-old was taken into a detention centre upon his release this morning.
Police say he will likely be charged with dangerous driving and hit and run but more charges could be laid.
