COSAR short 15 volunteers while calls for help increase

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR) was a special guest at an open house hosted by Banner Recreation and Marine Thursday evening to help recruit 15 new volunteers.

The group responds to about 50 calls for help every year, making their services essential.

Right now, they only have 25 members and they need to have 40.

All positions are volunteer.

Positions from field searchers to technicians and office staff are needed.

The recruitment drive continues until the end of November and inquires can be made on the COSAR website.
