The National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims was created in Canada in 2008.

Hergott’s annual memorial is the only one that takes place in B.C.

In Canada, five people are killed in road crashes every day.

While distracted driving is often to blame, Hergott says we all need to be more attentive when operating vehicles.
