Ricky Martin announces Las Vegas residency

International superstar Ricky Martin revealed Wednesday that he will be headlining the Park Theater at Monte Carlo.

He made the announcement on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “I’m going to be in Vegas!” the singer said. “I have a residency in Vegas! Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! I’m really happy,” Martin shared.

“You’re all invited!” the Livin’ la Vida Loca hitmaker said while pointing at the live audience.

DeGeneres surprised her studio audience with a pair of tickets and a two-night stay at the Monte Carlo.

Martin also announced that he proposed to Jwan Yosef, his boyfriend of more than a year, and shared how the engagement took place.

“Instead of saying, ‘Would you marry me?’ I said ‘I got you something.'”

The singer will join the ranks of other Las Vegas residency stars including Britney Spears, Céline Dion, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez and most recently, the Backstreet Boys.

According to Ticketmaster, residency dates for Martin begin April 5 through April 15 and begin again June 23 with the dates continuing until mid-September.

Martin will wrap his One World Tour on Dec. 15 at Centro de Congresos Queretaro in Querétaro City, Mexico. The tour began in New Zealand in April 2015.

The Park Theater opens next month, with Stevie Nicks scheduled to take the stage on Dec. 17. Bruno Mars will be performing there Dec. 30 and Dec. 31 and is scheduled to return to Park Theater in March 2017. Comedian Katt Williams is scheduled to perform at the location Jan. 7 and Cher will also be taking the stage at the venue in March and May 2017.

In a press release, the Monte Carlo said the 5,300-seat entertainment venue and its audio and visual technology “will provide artists of diverse talents with a dynamic space to create one-of-a-kind productions where every seat allows guests to feel up close and personal. From comedy shows and live concerts, to sporting events and award shows, Park Theater is specially designed with the ability to transform seamlessly for any occasion.”

Tickets to see Martin live in concert in Las Vegas go on sale Nov. 21.
