Body removed from Elbow River in Calgary

Calgary police said a body had been removed from the Elbow River Tuesday morning.

A pedestrian walking in the area of 2 Street and 26 Avenue S.W. spotted the body and called police at about 9:40 a.m.

Police said it’s too early to tell if the incident is suspicious in nature; few details were available.

Fire crews and the medical examiner were on scene as of 10:30 a.m.
