Global News is thrilled to be partnering with the Toronto Firefighters for the thirteenth consecutive year in support of the annual Fire Fighters’ Toy Drive to help those less fortunate this holiday season.
On Thursday, December 5, Global News will be hosting and celebrating their 10th annual Toy Drive LIVE at CF Shops at Don Mills from 5 – 8 p.m. The family-friendly event will feature a live broadcast by Global News at 5:30 p.m.
Global News anchors Farah Nasser and Alan Carter will broadcast live from the square and will be joined by Global News personalities, ET Canada host Carlos Bustamante, announcers from Corus Radio stations 102.1 The Edge’s Kolter and Meredith, Energy 95.3’s Tucker and Maura, Q107’s Fearless Fred, and Global News Radio 640 Toronto’s Alex Pierson, special appearance by The Zone hosts, Spencer, Duhin and Tyra, plus other special mascots including Peppa Pig & George, PJ Masks, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. There will also be a special performance by Bounce Entertainment to wrap up the night!
Bring a new unwrapped toy for a child in need and join us to ring in the holiday season. The evening will include a meet and mingle with Santa Claus, an appearance by Spin Master’s Paw Patrol, colouring, plus kids can try on firefighter bunker gear. There will be yummy treats and hot drinks on hand. Come spread the holiday cheer all in support of the Toronto Fire Fighters’ Toy Drive!
