The Regina police have arrested six people in connection to a shooting in North Central over the weekend.

Police said they received calls of a shooting in the 700 block of Athol Street at around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday.

Initial investigation shows two to three gunshots were fired.

Two boys, ages 14 and 17, were taken to the hospital to receive treatment for their injuries.

Twenty year-old Taurell Antonio Alexson, a 17-year-old, a 16-year-old, a 15-year-old and two 14-year-olds are all facing numerous charges including possession of a firearm, careless use of a firearm and attempted murder.

All six people charged made their first court appearance on Monday morning.
