Guests at the Edmonton Valley Zoo Sunday were invited to participate in World Kindness Day by sharing positive messages with patrons and animals.

“There’s a message here: it’s good to be kind to people and to be kind to animals,” Dorothy Kelker, special events coordinator for the Edmonton Valley Zoo, said.

Organizers said the warm fall weather created the perfect opportunity for families to take in the special day.

“There’s a scavenger hunt that takes you through the zoo and encourages you to do different acts of kindness,” Kelker said.
