MONTREAL – Simple Plan has launched a new book that describes the pop punk band’s journey from humble beginnings as a local Montreal band to the peak of superstardom.
It may feel like Simple Plan has been around forever but the band now known around the world was only formed in 2002.
To mark their tenth anniversary together, Simple Plan has released a 304-page book documenting their rise to fame.
“Simple Plan: The Official Story” includes hundreds of photographs, as well as some memorabilia.
A portion of the profits will be donated to the Simple Plan Foundation. Its aim is to help young people by using music as a tool to help them find a passion in life.

“When you think about it, the thing that amazes me the most is that it’s the same five guys,” guitarist Sébastien Lefebvre told Global News.
“We’re still here and even though there’s ups and downs, this book finishes this summer paradise which was huge for us around the world and keeps going as a band. You know it’s a great feeling.”
The book hits bookstore shelves later this month.
