Hundreds protest Donald Trump victory in Vancouver

About 200 people are protesting the Donald Trump presidential victory in Vancouver Thursday evening.

Crowds began gathering outside the soon-to-be-open Trump Tower and Hotel on Georgia and Thurlow Streets around 4 p.m.

By 5 p.m., there were roughly 200 people armed with signs protesting the president-elect and his frequent rhetoric against immigration, Muslims, women and other minorities.

The crowd then began marching east along Georgia Street while chanting “Love trumps hate” and “Down with Trump.”

The Republican ended a divisive election campaign on Tuesday by pulling off a widely unexpected upset, defeating Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in the race to the White House.
