Controversial documentary filmmaker Michael Moore predicted that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump would win the election, and he was right. And now, Moore has a five-point plan for Democrats reeling at the prospect of four years under Trump.
In mid-October, Moore made an anti-Trump documentary titled Michael Moore in Trumpland that came as a surprise to everyone, including fans of the 62-year-old filmmaker. The film is based on a one-man show, October Surprise, that Moore recently performed in Ohio and depicts Moore “diving right into hostile territory,” according to a brief description. Essentially, Moore meets and talks to Trump supporters for much of the movie.

What was most surprising about Trumpland is Moore’s conclusion: that Trump would win the election over Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, and it would be the “biggest ‘F**k you!’ ever recorded in human history.”
Moore’s predictions in Trumpland ended up being alarmingly accurate.

“And on November 8th, Election Day — although they’ve lost their jobs, although they’ve been foreclosed on by the bank, next came the divorce and now the wife and kids are gone, the car has been repo-ed, they haven’t had a real vacation in years, they’re stuck with the s**tty Obamacare Bronze plan where you can’t even get a f**king Percocet — they’ve essentially lost everything they had,” he continued. “Except one thing. The one thing that doesn’t cost them a cent and is guaranteed to them by the American constitution: the right to vote.”

He elaborates further on his logic, saying that middle-class Americans see how much powerful elites “hate” Trump, and how much the media — among many other public bodies — “hates” Trump, and their faith in him stems from that. “The enemy of my enemy is who I’m voting for on November 8th,” quipped Moore about the mindset.

“Yes, on November 8th, you — Joe Blow, Steve Blow, Bob Blow, Bill Blow, Billy Bob Blow, all the Blows — get to go and blow up the whole goddamn system because it’s your right,” Moore concluded. “Trump’s election is going to be the biggest ‘F**k you’ ever recorded in human history. And it will feel good.”
This wasn’t the first time Moore predicted a Trump victory; the first time he did was in late 2015, when he said “people are feeling more and more that we’ve moved back into a darker time.”

Moore’s belief that Middle America, which is made up of farmers and blue-collar workers, was fed up with the economic suffering of the last eight years, seems to be on the money. The four so-called “Rust Belt” states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin all went to Trump, and along with them, enough electoral votes to cruise to victory over Clinton.

After Trump’s win was announced, Moore posted a five-step plan to his Facebook page to help the Democrats win future elections. Considering his previous correct predictions, the political party may want to take heed.

Among other things, Moore points out that Clinton actually won the popular vote, meaning that the majority of Americans agree more with her platform than Trump’s. He also forcibly tells people to stop saying they’re “stunned” and “shocked” — that “Trump’s victory is no surprise.”
At the end of his Trumpland speech, Moore was more defeatist.
“But I get it, you wanted to send a message, and righteous anger, justifiable anger,” he said. “Goodnight America. You’ve just elected the last president of the United States.”
