WINNIPEG — Winnipeg police are investigating a serious assault that happened in the Elmwood area last week.
On Nov. 1 at 10 p.m., a woman was walking in the area of Midwinter Avenue and Brazier Street. A man approached her from behind and physically overpowered and sexually assaulted her, police said.

The suspect is described as having a heavy build and wearing a dark coloured hoodie.
