One person is in police custody as a result of a disturbance in the Beaver Lake Road area — where Kelowna’s border meets Lake Country.
The incident happened shortly after 11 a.m. Monday on Jim Bailey Road where police converged on a mobile home park.

“Kelowna RCMP immediately attended to the scene where officers were able to the take the distraught 36-year-old man into police custody without further incident,” said Cst. Jesse O’Donaghey of Kelowna RCMP.
Global Okanagan has learned the man had attempted to harm himself and a 31-year-old woman at the residence attempted to intervene. The woman was slightly injured during the intervention.
Police say her injuries are non-life threatening.
The man has been has been taken to hospital for assessment.
