Temperatures records were broken in some Saskatchewan communities on Saturday, according to preliminary numbers from Environment Canada.
Warm late fall weather across the Prairies resulted in the temperature records being broken. The warmth was a result of southwest winds flooding mild Pacific air across Western Canada which in-turn displaced colder Arctic air to the north.

Saskatoon’s new record for Nov. 5 is 19.3 Celsius, beating the old record of 18.9 set back in 1949.
Leader also broke its record high of 21.1 set in 1949 with 22.4., Lucky Lake hit 21.5 to beat the previous record of 18.9 set in 2010.
In other parts of Saskatchewan, Coronach now has a record high of 21.2 and the temperature to beat in Mankota is 19.
Maple Creek claimed hot spot honours in the province, tying its record of 22.6 which it set back in 2010.
Environment Canada said more records are expected to fall as the very warm weather continues on Sunday.
