Tuesday marks nomination day for Blood Tribe chief and council. The First Nation is located about 60 kilometres southwest of Lethbridge, Alta.

The nomination process starts at 4 p.m. and goes until 7 p.m. It is held at the Kainai Multi-Purpose Centre in Stand Off, Alta.

Candidates need to bring the person who is nominating them and a seconder. They also need to bring a complete criminal record check to register.

Every candidate will have to be verified and then a final list will be completed by Nov. 8.

Voting day is the Nov. 22.

A polling station will be set up at the Kainai Multi-Purpose Centre and the Sik-Ooh-Kotoki Friendship Centre in Lethbridge.

There’s an advance poll on Nov. 15 at Carriage House Inn in Calgary.

The 2012 election saw more than 90 candidates run for council.
