Recipe ideas for all that leftover Halloween candy

With kids ready to gather all the candy they can on Halloween night, some Montreal households may be looking for ways to get rid of some treats.

There are a variety of ways candy can be used without having to throw any away.

West Island Mommies owner Tina Wentzell suggested some ways to keep your sweets. She says candy can be used to bake things such as cupcakes.

“What I did was I threw some M&Ms inside the batter when I made the cupcakes so I kind of added a little flare to it,” Wentzell said.

Treats can also be used to decorate during arts and crafts.

“I bought some canvases and I glued some rockets, some candy corn and some M&Ms and just made a fun picture out of it,” Wentzell said.

“Have your child pick out their favorite candies and you glue them on and have fun with it.”
