The bus stops here

 North Okanagan residents had the chance to voice their concerns Tuesday about transit issues down the road.

The Village Green Mall in Vernon was the site of a so called transit survey.

The event was hosted by the City of Vernon and BC Transit.

It was aimed at getting public input about a future transit plan for the region.

The open house was held inside a bus, allowing organizers to bring their survey to the public in different locations.

So far, the bus has travelled to Armstorng, and throughout Vernon, including the Schubert senior’s centre and Okanagan College. And organizers say they’ve had a variety of types of suggestions from the public.

Some of the regional routes they’d like to see improved frequency, particularly the number 90.

Other routes they’d like to see the timetable match up a bit better.

The bus will be at the Coldstream farmers’ market today where residents are encouraged to provide their feedback.
