WINNIPEG — Five people managed to escape a fire in a two-storey home on Ross avenue.
Winnipeg Police Service said the fire broke out just after 9 a.m. Saturday.
The City of Winnipeg said the two storey, wood-framed home had smoke and flames coming out of a second floor window.
By the time crews responded to the blaze, the five people inside the home had managed to self-evacuate.
“An aggressive offensive attack quickly extinguished the fire on the second floor bedroom,” said a spokesperson for the City of Winnipeg.
Officers said no injuries have been reported and that there is no estimate on damage yet or what may have caused the blaze.
