It came down to a missed field goal as the Saskatoon Hilltops held on to defeat provincial rivals Regina Thunder 25-24 to advance to the Prairie Football Conference (PFC) final.
The Thunder had a chance to take the lead with just under two minutes remaining in the semi-final game at SMF Field in Saskatoon.
Placekicker James Reid was wide to the left from 16 yards with 1:46 remaining on the clock and the Thunder had to settle for a single point.

Hilltops quarterback Jared Andreychuk completed 15 of 34 pass attempts for 204 yards and a touchdown while Logan Fisher ran for 63 yards and a touchdown.
Thunder quarterback Sawyer Buettner tossed for 316 yards in the loss as the Thunder came back from a 25-9 deficit midway through the third quarter to make it close.
The Hilltops will now take on the Calgary Colts for the third-straight year in the PFC final.

The Colts advanced with a 11-10 win over the Edmonton Huskies.
The game goes Sunday at 1 p.m. CT at Saskatoon’s SMF Field, with the winner advancing to the 2016 Canadian Bowl in B.C. on Nov. 12.
