WINNIPEG — After more than a year of development, the city has launched the Know Your Zone app.
On Monday, the city released the new app, which is designed to give up-to-date zone information during a residential parking ban.
Users can see which streets are currently being plowed and which ones will be in the next 12 hours.

There is also a feature where an app user can save addresses as favorites and have notifications sent to their phone when a residential parking ban is called for the corresponding street.
“The city’s Know Your Zone app is an easy to use tool that will help us all be better informed about where we shouldn’t park during a residential parking ban,” City Councillor Janice Lukes said. “I encourage all Winnipeggers to download the app and do your part to help the city clear snow safely and efficiently.”
