Charges laid in fatal Highway 2 rollover near Young, Sask.

A British Columbia man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death following a fatal rollover on Highway 2 near Young, Sask.

The rollover happened late in the morning of Oct. 15 north of Young.

A 28-year-old woman from Watrous, Sask., and a 27-year-old man from High River, Alta., were declared dead at the scene. Police are not releasing their names.

Two men were taken to hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Kiel Stewart, 29, from Lumby, B.C., is facing two charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and one charge dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing injury.

Stewart is scheduled to appear Friday in Saskatoon provincial court.

Young is approximately 95 kilometres southeast of Saskatoon.
